   On the afternoon of March 3, under the leadership of the Economic Development Bureau of Longgang City, Longgang City, Wenzhou, some entrepreneurs of the Longgang Printing and Packaging Industry Association held a symposium to discuss countermeasures.

   After the Spring Festival started, the upstream raw materials of the printing and packaging industry rose wildly. Driven by a sharp rise in the source pulp futures, the price of white cardboard was completely out of control.

   Due to the excessive price increase, the printing and packaging enterprises in the middle reaches have brought great troubles. The rising costs cannot be transmitted, the new orders cannot be quoted, and the already quoted orders have fallen into a huge loss. The operation order of the entire market has been severely disrupted, and many printing and packaging people have called this wave a "destructive price increase."

   The cost of raw materials accounts for 70-80% of the total cost of printing and packaging products, but since June last year, the price of white cardboard has risen by 50%, and has broken the 10,000 yuan mark unprecedentedly. In the face of such crazy price increases, some printing and packaging companies went into shock, their production lines were forced to suspend, and the whole industry was wailing.

   As the printing and packaging industry provides supporting facilities for many industries, it can be said to have a full impact on the whole body. The price of paper has soared, and many industries such as food and beverage, daily chemicals, clothing, shoes and hats, electronics and electrical appliances have also set off a wave of price increases.

  If they lose customers, printing and packaging companies known for their heavy assets may even face risks such as exhaustion of cash flow and difficulty in repaying bank loans due. Once a domino effect is formed, the consequences will be unimaginable.

   Faced with such a weird market, all the business representatives attending the meeting looked solemn and it was difficult to suppress their inner anxiety. This meeting shows that entrepreneurs in the printing industry in Wenzhou have submitted the price increase to the government. It is not yet known whether entrepreneurs are calling on the government to take control.

   On March 5th, the two sessions will be held in Beijing. It is not known what kind of motion the delegates will make on the overall price increase of raw materials, but the price increase is likely to become a hot topic of the two sessions.
